Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Journal Editorial Policy

Lentera Cendekia: Journal of Community Service contains articles on ideas and community service results in the fields of social, humanities, and economics related to edupreneurship, educational technology, and applied technology.

General Requirements
Articles should be typed in Microsoft Word and should be 3,000-4,000 words long (including bibliography, notes, and tables).

A statement must be attached stating that the article has not been previously published anywhere or in any form.

Articles should be presented with the following components:

Title: No more than 15 words, using interesting, informative, concise, and clear Indonesian. Sentences should not be open to multiple interpretations, should be appropriate to the problem being discussed, and should not contain unusual abbreviations. No mention of the community service implementation model or the object/location of the community service should be included. The main idea should be written first, followed by the explanation (Cambria font, size 14 pt, bold, and left-aligned).

Abstract: The abstract should be written in English and Indonesian and should contain a summary covering the background, objectives, methods used, main results, and conclusions. The abstract should be concise and clear, and should not contain references, quotations, or unusual abbreviations. The abstract should be 150-200 words long, using Cambria font, size 10, single-spaced, italicized, and written in a single paragraph.

(Consists of a minimum of 3-5 keywords, each separated by a semicolon (;), and written in italics (Cambria 10 font, single-spaced, and italicized)

Introduction: The introduction contains an explanation of the problems, challenges, or needs of the community (partner) that underlie or inspire the implementation of the community service activity, the objectives of the community service activity, and the results of the literature review. The entire introduction is presented in integrated paragraphs, 15-20% of the total length of the article.

Methods: The methods section should explain the approach used to address the partner's problems and explain the steps in describing the proposed solution. The methods should explain the location and timing of the community service. The writing should be in paragraph form, 5-10% of the total length of the article.

Results and Discussion: The results and discussion section presents the results of the community service activity, along with an analysis related to the activity's objectives. Each community service result must be discussed. The discussion includes an explanation of the results and a comparison with relevant theories and/or research findings/results from other community service activities. The length of the results and discussion should be 60-70% of the total length of the article. Community service results can be supplemented with figures, tables, and graphs.

Conclusion: The conclusion section defines the novelty of your study and the success of the community service, the benefits to society or the community, the theoretical contributions of your article, and the implications for the community. The conclusion contains the achievements of the community service activity in relation to the objectives and targets of the activity, summarizing the results of the discussion. The conclusion is presented in paragraph form. The length of the conclusion is 5-10% of the total length of the article.

References: The reference list must contain at least 10 sources from scientific journals published in the last 10 years and be arranged alphabetically. Legislation such as laws, regulations, and presidential regulations are not included as reference sources. The reference list should follow APA Style 7th edition standards and must be managed using Mendeley reference management. References should be listed at the end of the paper. Do not start a new page unless necessary. Authors must ensure that every in-text reference appears in the reference list and vice versa.

Manuscripts should be written on A4 paper with margins of 2.95-2.54-2.54-2.54. cm (Top-Left-Bottom-Right) and Cambria font style with a size of 14 pt for the manuscript title, 10 pt for the abstract, 12 pt for the body paragraphs, and 12 pt for the table/figure/graph captions.

For each article to be published, the author must contribute to the printing and management costs of the journal.

All articles must be submitted through https://ojs.edupartner.co.id/index.php/lenteracendekia/ no later than early April (published in May), and early October (published in November).

Lentera Cendekia: Journal of Community Service is not yet accredited and is still in the process of improving its management towards becoming an Accredited National Journal.
